Welcome and thank you for visiting our web site!  It is a blessing to know that you are interested in Christian education and in Calvary Chapel Christian Schools-Murrieta (CCCS). Whether you're a prospective family looking for a quality school, a casual visitor just checking us out, or already a member of our school family, we hope you find plenty of resources here to keep you informed. If you're looking for a new school, be sure to check us out and see what is new here at CCCS.  This is the start of our 15th school year.

Will your children be spiritually, academically, and socially prepared for the opportunities and challenges they will face in this century? This is a very important question because the world has changed significantly over the last 10 years and the pace of change is only going to hasten. We are becoming a world economy, where companies are outsourcing to the third world.  Research tells us that for a person born today, when they graduate from college the amount of knowledge in the world will be four times as great as now.  By the time that same child is fifty years old, knowledge in the world will be 32 times as great and 97 percent of everything known in the world will have been learned since the time the child was born.  This exponential growth in information and technology, terrorism, and significant social changes are just a few of the challenges and opportunities facing our children. Many of these changes threaten the moral foundations of our nation and of our families.

We are preparing our students to serve Christ faithfully and effectively in this century. Calvary Chapel Christian School-Murrieta is committed to providing them with a comprehensive, Christian, and strong academic educational program of uncompromising quality within a stimulating and nurturing environment. From our elementary school children, to our advanced placement classes, CCCS is providing our students with an education that develops the Christian mind, nurtures the soul, and shapes the character ... “Equipping Today For Tomorrow,”  2 Timothy 3:16-17.

Parents and students today have more choices than ever when it comes to selecting a school. As you consider your options, I invite you to personally visit CCCS. Talk to some of our teachers and administrators as well as the students. You will discover what has attracted so many to CCCS: caring and highly qualified Christian teachers, students who share your son’s or daughter's faith and priorities, and a well-rounded program of academics, sports and the arts. We desire to teach to the whole child, see their individual God-given gifts, and help the families in accomplishing God’s plan for our students’ and families’ lives.

In Him,

Pastor Des Starr

Principal's Message

Mr. KDear Parents and Students,

Welcome to a new school year at Calvary and a special greeting to all of our new students and incoming 7th graders!  Starting at a new school could be very intimidating and uncomfortable, so we would like to make you feel as welcome as possible. Please do not hesitate to email, call, or come in to the office if you have any questions or concerns during these first few weeks of school.  Every year always brings exciting new challenges and blessings. It is always a joy to see what great and mighty things God is going to do in the lives of our students.  Our greatest desire at Calvary is that all of our students will desire to not only have a personal relationship with Jesus Christ, but to love Him more each day.
Our theme at camp this year was “A Living Hope”.  1 Peter 1:3-4 tells us how God has given us a Living Hope through the death and resurrection of our Lord Jesus Christ and this is a hope that is incorruptible, undefiled, and lasts forever!  How awesome!  We want to prepare our students for tomorrow, giving them an education that will prepare them for the next phase of their lives.  Most importantly, we want to point them to Jesus Christ.   They must know He IS the only hope we have in a lost and dying world. At Calvary, we hope and pray all of our students will be open to what the Lord wants to teach them this year as our teachers integrate God’s truth into each subject, showing His love as they build a firm teacher-student rapport.
Please join us in prayer for this new school year!  Parents, please take the time each day to pray for and with your child. The enemy would love nothing better than to win over the hearts and minds of our students.  Spiritual warfare is greater than ever before, so we covet your prayers.  We should always remember that our dependence rest in the Lord’s strength!  Ephesians 6:10 tells us to “…be strong in the Lord and in his mighty power.”
It is always a blessing for me to have the opportunity to partner with you in both the academic and spiritual education of your child. It is a sacrifice to send your child to a Christian school, but it is also a privilege and blessing which will reap spiritual dividends in his/her life!  May the Lord bless and guide you as we have begun the 2007-2008 school year.  We look forward with great anticipation to what the Lord will do at Calvary Chapel Christian School.

In His Service,

“Imitate me as I also
imitate Christ.”
I Corinthians 11:1

Paul invited others to watch, to learn, and to imitate him as he imitated His Lord.
Many times we may forget that others are watching us (whether or not we invite them to), especially those with whom we share a home.

Not too many years ago, God made very clear to me a simple but important truth. As I passed by my daughter, who was viewing something on television, she asked if I would get her some water. I quickly responded with, “I believe your two legs are working just fine today”. Before I could turn the corner into the kitchen, the Lord began dealing with me about being a servant. His Spirit so clearly spoke to my spirit saying, how will she learn to serve if you do not first serve her. God wanted me to model a behavior.

I have not forgotten that lesson, even though my child is much older now.
Maybe we -frequently- should be asking the question, what behavior or attitude am I modeling, and for whom? Our children will imitate us in word, in deed, and in attitude; and their imitation in not confined to the home.

Scripture tells us to be “Imitators of God” (Ephesians 5:1). Jesus modeled in word and in deed the behavior that He desires in each of His children. Let us all practice His principles. They really work, and they encourage others. So be encouraged.

“Let no unwholesome talk come out of your mouths, but only what is helpful for building others up according to their needs, that it may benefit those who listen. And do not grieve the Holy Spirit of God, with whom you were sealed for the day of redemption……….Be kind to one another, forgiving each other as in Christ, God forgave you.” (Ephesians 4:29, 30, 32)
